Lotus Root Koftas



For Koftas :
	Lotus Root  		1 lb
	Paneer Grated   	70 gms.
	Potatoes Grated   	75 gms.
	Ginger Chopped   	10 gms.
	Green Chillies 		10 gms.
	Coriander pdr.  	15 gms.
	Red Chilli Pdr.  	1 tbs.
	Salt and Oil 		as required

For Gravy:
	Onions Chopped 		3 nos.
	Ginger/Garlic Paste 	5 gms.
	Green Chilli 		2 no.
	Ginger chopped 		a small piece
	Red Chilli Pdr. 	1 tsp.
	Turmeric Pdr. 		%frac12 tsp.
	Jeera Whole 		3 gms.
	Tomatoes Chopped 	3 nos.
	Curd 			50 ml.
	Coriander Pdr. 		2 gms.
	Chopped coriander 	for garnish




For the Koftas:
  • Boil the Lotus Root and mash it properly.
  • Add the grated potatoes and the grated paneer to it.
  • Mix all the dry masalas and make small balls. Keep them aside.

For the gravy:
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add the jeera.
  • Add onions chopped when the jeera splutters. Fry to light brown in color.
  • Add the ginger/Garlic paste and fry for a while.Put in the dry masalas.
  • Add the chopped ginger and green chillies.
  • Add Tomatoes and bhunno till the oil seperates from the gravy.
  • Finish with curd . Add water if necessary.
  • Put in the koftas and Garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Note Makes a very good dish for the party.
