Kaara means HOT Kootu means a mixture..of Vegetables
For paste
--------
Bengal Gram 2 tblspn
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Red Chilles 4 nos.
Coconut 2 tblspn
one or more combination of veggies
Chopped Cabbage, snake gord, Chopped Chow Chow,
Bengal gram/channa dhal
Green peas
Salt to taste
For Tempering:

Mustard Seeds ¼ tsp
Coconut Oil 1 tblspn
- Boil Cabbage with Green Peas or boil Chow Chow with Bengal Gram Dhal.
- Add just enough water to cover the vegetables while boiling.
- Add salt to taste.
- To Make the paste:
Broil the Bengal Gram,Red Chillies, Coriander Seeds and Coconut seperately.
Make a paste with just enough water.
- After making the paste add paste to boiled vegetables and mix
and let cook until the vegatbles and the paste blend.
- Serve after seasoning with mustard and curry leaves.
Serve with Boiled Rice
