Dried Prawn Pickle....
Jhinge ka Achar
Dried Prawns 1 Kg.
Red Chillies 120 gms.
Cumin Seeds 80 gms.
Mustard Seeds 30 gms.
Garlic 80 gms.
Dates/Khajoor 10 gms.
Ginger 60 gms.
Green Chillies 120 gms.
Sesame oil(Til) 350 ml.
Vinegar 1.2 Lt.
Sugar 120 gms.
Salt to taste
- Clean the prawns and wash them in Vinegar.
- Gring the spices and the dates to a paste in vinegar.
- Heat the oil and fry the paste.
- Add the prawns and cook on a low heat till done.
- Add sugar and vinegar and continue to cook for a few more minutes.
- Store in jars when cool.
