Prawn Balchow..

Parsi Syle Prawn Pickle

	Prawn			1 kg.(unshelled)
	Green Chilli 		5 nos.
	Tomatoes		400 gms.
	Ginger			100 gms.
	Garlic			50 gms.
	Salt			To taste
	Onions			500 gms.
	Red Chillies		12 nos.
	Curry Leaves		10-12
	PepperCorn		1½ tsp.
	Cumin Seeds		1½ tsp.
	Mustard Oil		½ kg.
	Turmeric		5 gms.

  • Clean and shell the prawns.
  • Grind the prawns and then pass the paste through a fine mincer.
  • Grind cumin seeds,peppercorns,turmeric and red chilliesto a fine powder.
  • Chop the onions and cut the tomatoes into quarters; slice the green chillies and ginger and add peel the garlic.
  • Heat the oiland brown the onions.
  • Add the powdered spices and prawn paste and cook.
  • Add curry leaves. After a few minutes, add the remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer on a low fire,till well cooked.
  • Stir frequently. Cool and bottle.
