Matar Paneer

Peas with Cottage

	Paneer 			250 Grams
	Green Peas 		250  Grams
	Onion Chopped 		2  Nos
	Ginger Paste 		1 tblspn
	Garlic Paste		1 tblsn
	Green chillies		2 no.
	Dhania Powder 		½ tsp
	Turmeric pdr		¼ tsp
	Red Chilli pdr		½ tsp
	Cumin Seeds		½ tsp
	Garam masala		1  Teaspn
	Tomato Chopped		4 no.
	Oil 			100  ML
	Coriander chopped	¼ bunch
	Salt 			to taste

  • Cut paneer into cubes fry pale brown.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add jeera.
  • Add onion & saute till brown, add ginger/garlic paste.
  • If you are using frozen peas, add them now.
  • Add the dry masalas and then the chopped tomatoes.
  • Cook till it leaves oil.
  • Add fresh green peas & salt.
  • Cover the lid & cook on slow fire till peas are cooked.
  • Add paneer cubes in the end and simmer.
  • Add chopped coriander just before turning the fire off and cover with a lid.
  • Serve immediately with basmati rice and assorted chutneys and raita.
