Boondi Raita

Boondi(Gram Flour dumpling) Raita

	Plain Yogurt      	3 cups
   	Bengal Gram Flour       ½ cup
    	Red Chilli Pdr.         2 tsp
    	Salt			to taste
    	Baking Powder		½ tsp
    	Oil 			deep frying
    	Cumin Powder            ½ tsp

  • Mix together Red chilli powder, salt and besan.
  • Add the baking Powder and make a batter of dropping consistency.
  • With a slotted spoon, pour drops of this into hot oil and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Drain the oil and soak in hot water.
  • .Whisk the yogurt and add the salt, chilli powder and a little cumin powder.
  • Sqeeze the water out of the 'boondi' and add to the yogurt.
  • Check salt and garnish with a little Jeera powder and chilli powder.
  • Serve chilled.
